CDT TWO DAY SUMMER CAMP at Waresley Park Stud

25th / 26th June 2011

This two day camp is primarily aimed at improving event riders performance and safety during competitions by covering many important areas.

Each day there will be two jumping sessions

Day 1 will start with position, balance and rythumn work using poles and grid work. This will be followed with course walking which will cover both simulated XC and XC fences. The second jumping session will be simulated cross country followed by speed training round the two all-weather gallops.

Day 2 will start with a show jumping course walk followed by a coached warm up and sj course practice. The Theory section will follow which will include dressage tips, fitness of horse and rider, rider responsibility cross country ‘gears’ etc plus video analysis. The final riding session will be cross country round the fabulous Waresley Park (venue of Senior British Event Team Training)

Waresley Park is the perfect setting for such a training weekend as the amazing facilities include two gallops, indoor school, two large outdoor schools plus many varied multi level cross country schooling fences. There also stables available to hire and accommodation on site.

Sandwiches etc. will be provided on both days plus facilities are available for cooking if required.  The Eltisley pub is a short drive, for bookings please contact The Eltisley on 01480 880308.  For a local taxi service contact Steve’s Taxis on 01480 215666
